There are rather a lot of other countries, aren't there?  If we really need hordes of uneducated manual laborers, why not some of these?   If they're so vital to the economy, why not import the ones we want?  And while I'm at it, no Muslim men may apply.  Sorry, chaps, but you're too dangerous and you need to clean up the mess you've made.  Plus, you piss me off.

Don't really agree with the muslim men part. Just think -- if they already wanted to get out of that place, how easy it would be to convince them this is the right way to go? Then the write back home about how great democracy is...

Or it could just be I'm biased because my adopted nephew is muslim, and came over when he was 14. Last I heard he wanted to go to college and become a web developer. (Okay, sorry -- he won't be doing any manual labor.. ;D)

You have a point about using the lure of America to subvert Islam, but I wouldn't put it past Iran and friends to deliberately use a liberal immigration policy to sneak in a bunch of terrorists. Plus, I really am coming to think that we are in a religious war and I would prefer to win.
