The Iraqi Air Force took off yesterday with a sqadron of C-130's taking to the air.
I never expected that so quickly; I thought aviation would be the last thing the Iraqis developed. But then, come to think of it, it is. It's just that they didn't wait to perfect their army to start their air force.
Once they've got adequate transport, a variety of helicopters, some A-10's and a few F-16's to keep the neighbors honest, they're done -- as long as they keep their fingers purple!
Thanks to The Officers Club for the info.
