Ha. Note that the NYT does not offer, indeed appears to not recognize the possibility of, the main conservative thrust of Strict Construction. No, in their minds (sic) a judge is either going to put precedent above all else or is going to rule by his personal ideology. Well, that's how they, the Left, did it, and they'd deserve all the Right personal ideology they could get, but I think the New Supremes are going to do their erudite best to put the law back on track. Not FDR's track, but GW's (that's George Washington, not George W. Bush).
